Oof. This thing is incredible. It even has the whole IS-F dash, console, steering wheel and seats. It’s more of an IS-F rolling chassis shortened and merged with a Corolla body than just dropping the IS-F drivetrain into the Corolla. I love this. It’s almost wider than it is long.

I’m not so sure about the interior, but the rest is very cool. You certainly don’t see one of those every day.

So is the IS-F that donated its drivetrain.

I’m not a big fan of the interior but they did integrate it very nicely. Super clean job.

The article doesn’t go into this level of detail but my guess is they already had to put in most of the IS-F computers that would run the interior to run the drivetrain so might as well use the interior. Could also be due to them using more of the donor IS-F than just the drivetrain, there is also the chassis.

Very cool- though I was shocked that the weight shown was 3350lb. More Lexus than Corolla , I guess.

My first thought on seeing that title was 'Well that would probably be fatal'. Finding out that the Corolla component is mostly decorative was something of a relief.

That is a gorgeous, ICON-level build.  I’m all tingly.

I saw something similar on a Jaguar MkII running an XF engine, I thought it was cool. B ut then I saw the XF interior and dash that were way too massive for such an old car, and I wasn’t so sure what to think about it anymore

I kept thinking about the 1LR-GUE but it eventually sunk in that we’re talking about an IS-F donor car, not the LF-A.
